Michael’s score for the much-lauded Paramount Vantage movie “Into the Wild” (written and directed by Sean Penn) was nominated by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for a Golden Globe award for Best Score. Never has a body of music moved me so much. I became fascinated with the Chris McCandless story whilst backpacking around BC and the Yukon 10 years ago.
The film is stunning but the music is quite simply the most beautiful, haunting, evocative, I’ve ever heard. It perfectly conveys the soul of the movie. Complete and utter genius.
