I’ve never successfully kept a journal for more than a week or two. It always seemed overly formal and although I’ve seen it work for others, it never worked for me. From time to time I’ll come across things, tools, books, music etc. that I think are great or interesting or crap. It’s always seemed like a good idea to share those reactions but I’ve never really been able to see how that could work in a way that was viable. This page is an attempt at that. Part of my motivation is that the limited contact and conversations that I’ve had with people who know my music has overwhelmingly been interesting and stimulating, and so hopefully this will allow this to happen more easily, and continuously. The “Irregular” in the title addresses the fact that often I’m under fairly intense deadline pressure and so my contributions will probably happen when there is a lull in my schedule. So please feel free to comment and participate.
